Attention Parents/Guardians:
Prevention is the best way to keep your child healthy and avoid lengthy absences. Flu and COVID vaccines are available at local pharmacies. Often covered by insurance with no out of pocket costs. Annual wellness screenings are vital and covered by most insurance companies at no cost to families. If your child is given a vaccine during a wellness visit. Please update the health office ASAP. This will help your family to avoid holds during registration.
Does your child take medication at home? If so please email the health office at
[email protected]. This information could be helpful when evaluating your child during a Health office visit. Many medications can have side effects that could adversely affect your child's performance during the school day. Having this information available helps us to provide better care to your child. Medication can not be in a backpack or lunch box without a doctor's permission that is documented in the Health office. If they have an epi-pen for allergies at home. We should have one at school as well. If they use an inhaler for sports. We should have one in the health office as well.
All Medication prescribed by a doctor or over the counter must be checked into the Health Office if taken during school hours. Please leave in the original bottle with clear directions. Physician's Orders must be signed and on file as well.
